By Mehdi Sepahvand – Trend:

An Iranian producer of computer numerical control (CNC) machines says its market has been growing very fast after the implementation of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), which removed sanctions on Iran.

“We have been exporting to neighboring countries such as the United Arab Emirates, Oman, Qatar, and other Persian Gulf states and are eying Europe for near future,” Azerbaijan Machine Tools Commercial Manager Mehdi Parvizpoor told Trend May 27.

According to Parvizpoor, about $3 million worth of products out of the company’s $15-million marketed output were exported in 2016.

“After the implementation of the JCPOA, things grew much better. Some sanctions were lifted and consequently international relations were facilitated, especially banking relations, enabling us to expand our market,” he said.

CNC is the automation of machine tools by means of computers executing pre-programmed sequences of machine control commands in contrast to machines that are manually controlled by hand wheels or levers, or mechanically automated by cams alone.
