Iran starts laying sea section of South Pars Phase 13 pipeline

Iran has started laying pipes in the offshore section of South Pars Phase 13, IRNA news agency reported June 11.

The pipeline will stretch 96 kilometers and its installation will take 75 days, according to Pars Oil and Gas Company Public Relations Director Payam Motamed.

The pipeline will come as one step toward transferring 1 billion feet per day of sour gas from the South Pars to refinery in shore.

Phase 13 development employs four offshore platforms which will take extracted gas via two 32-inch pipelines to a refinery 20 kilometers away.

The project aims at extracting 56 mcm of rich gas and producing thereof 50 mcm sweet gas, 2,900 tons of liquefied gas, 2,750 tons of ethane, 75,000 bbl of gas dondensates, and 400 tons of sulfur per day.
