Iran plans to boom exports of dairy products

Iran has apparently developed plans to increase the volume of its dairy products by 30 percent over the current fiscal year (ending March 20).

Hassan Rokni, an official with Iran’s agriculture ministry, has said that there are plans underway to boost the volume of Iran’s exports of dairy products by 250,000 tons, the Islamic Republic of Iran News Network (IRINN) reported.

The official further forecasted that the county’s output of milk would hit 10 million tons over the current year, which would allow the country export about 250,000 tons of various types of dairy products.

Iran exported 850,000 tons of dairy products to 20 countries over the last year.
