TSE hits 90,000 for the first time, closes at record

The main index of the Tehran Stock Exchange rose on Saturday, and broke above 90,000 for the first time.

The main index of the Tehran Stock Exchange (TSE) surged by 1130.4 points or 1.27 percent, to end the trades at 90469.5 on Nov. 25.

According to the TSE official website, about 1.478 billion shares, valued at $ 83.8 million (2.9 trillion rials converted to US dollar according to official rate) were traded for the day.

The Price Index added 362.4 points or 1.27 percent to end at 29004.8.

The First Market grew by 1037.9 points or 1.65 percent to post 64098.4.

The Second Market gained 1165.1 points or 0.61 percent to stand at 193525.1.

The Industry Index was up 1099.5 points or 1.4 percent to rest at 79368.6

The TSE 30 Index has gained 71.7 points or 1.91 percent, to close at 3829.6.

The TSE 50 Index increased by 53.4 points or 1.47 percent, to end at 3694.7.
