Iran’s largest housing market appears to grow

Iranian capital city of Tehran, the largest housing market of the country, saw a considerable hike in the price and the number of sales over the over the last calendar month to November 22.

According to the latest report by the Central Bank of Iran, the number of sales of residential units in Tehran has increased by 18.5 percent compared to same time last year.

About 14,800 residential units were sold in the capital city between Oct. 23 and Nov.22.

The price of per square meter of residential units in Tehran averaged at 48.9 million rials (about $1,210 on average free market rates).

The average price of residential units in this period indicated an increase of 10.9 percent.
