Iran’s equity market keeps surging

The main index of the Tehran Stock Exchange rose on Tuesday, and broke above 92,000.

The main index of the Tehran Stock Exchange (TSE) surged by 1076.50 points or 1.18 percent, to end the trades at 92628.9 on Dec. 12.

According to the TSE official website, about 1.262 billion shares, valued at $74.1 million (3.1 trillion rials converted to US dollar according to official rate) were traded for the day.

The Price Index added 344.7 points or 1.17 percent to end at 29688.1.

The First Market grew by 1014.9 points or 1.56 percent to post 66189.1.

The Second Market gained 967.9 points or 0.5 percent to stand at 195175.9.

The Industry Index was up 1049.4 points or 1.31 percent to rest at 81450.7.

The TSE 30 Index has gained 72.8 points or 1.85 percent, to close at 3997.6.

The TSE 50 Index increased by 54.5 points or 1.46 percent, to end at 3798.7.
