Performance of Iran’s gold & currency markets on Dec. 26

Gold coin was traded in Iran at 14,018,000 rials (about $336 according to the currency rate in Iran's free market) on Tuesday.

According to data on the website of the Tehran Gold and Jewelry Union, one gram of the 18-karat gold was priced at 1,300,920 rials (about $31.1), indicating a 0.21 percent increase compared to the preceding day.

According to the country’s real-time data sharing system, SANA, euro valued 49,858 rials in the free market, adding 0.15 percent. The Central Bank of Iran (CBI) put the official rate of euro at 42,726 rials.

The US dollar remained at 41,716 rials in the free market and did not indicate a significant change compared to the preceding day. The CBI put the official rate for the greenback at 35,998 rials.
