Central Bank of Iran warns against bitcoin

The governor of the Central Bank of Iran, Valiollah Seif, has warned against trading bitcoin in the Iranian market.
Despite warnings suggesting that it is a bubble waiting to burst, Traders in Iran over the past several weeks have demonstrated a considerable interest in the cryptocurrency following the recent surge in the value of bitcoin.
Seif told Ibena (Iranian banks and economy news agency) that the Central Bank of Iran warns against the cryptocurrency but the regulatory body will make efforts to create “relative security” in this regard.
