Chinese envoy to Tehran Pang Sen has said that Iran can grab a large share of his country’s market through participation at an exhibition on imports, to be held in November.

This is while Iran is hopeful to boost the volume of its trade turnover with China by 35.1 percent to hit $50 billion in 2018.

Chairman of the Iran-China Joint Chamber of Commerce Asadollah Asgaroladi has said the infrastructure to hit the target has been prepared, state-run IRINN TV reported.

“The volume of bilateral trade between the two countries stood on the verge of $40 billion and God willing the figure would near $50 billion by the end of 2018,” he told reporters on the sidelines of a conference in Tehran on Tuesday.

He further encouraged the Chinese side to invest in the Iranian market instead of purchasing crude materials.

The volume of bilateral trade between Iran and China over the last year increased by 19 percent to rest at $37.1 billion.
