The disagreements between Iran and India over the development of the Farzad B gas field in the Persian Gulf, has been resolved, Iranian Oil Minister Bijan Namdar Zanganeh said.

“The issues between the two countries in this field have been resolved,” the visiting minister told IRNA after a meeting with his Indian counterpart, Dharmendra Pradhan, in New Delhi on Wednesday.

Saying that India is interested in the expansion of cooperation with Iran in the development of Farzad B gas field in the Persian Gulf, he added that the Indian side will present its proposal within the coming two months.

Earlier Indian oil and gas company ONGC Videsh presented a $3 billion plan for developing Farzad B field but Iran proposed amendments.

Barzad B field has an in-place gas reserve of 21.7 trillion cubic feet (tcf), of which 12.5 tcf are believed to be recoverable. It has high sulfur content and the separate facility would be needed to separate gas from it.
