Performance of Iran’s gold & currency markets on April 22

The gold coin was traded in Iran at 17,700,000 rials (about $421.4) on April 23, indicating a drop of 2.82 percent compared to the preceding day.

According to data on the website of the Tehran Gold and Jewelry Union, one gram of the 18-karat gold was priced at 1,692,010 rials (about $40.2), falling 0.15 percent.

The Central Bank of Iran (CBI) put the official rate of euro at 51,551 rials, 0.11 percent down compared to the preceding day.

Pound Sterling gained 0.11 percent and stood at 58,876 rials. In the meantime, the Russian ruble was up 0.15 percent resting at 686 rials.

The rate of Azerbaijan's national currency, the manat, inched down 0.01 percent, valuing at 24,706 rials.

Turkey's lira added 0.34 percent to stand at 10,339.
