Performance of Iran’s gold & currency markets on April 24

The gold coin was traded in Iran at 17,600,000 rials (about $419) on April 24, indicating a drop of 0.57 percent compared to the preceding day.

According to data on the website of the Tehran Gold and Jewelry Union, one gram of the 18-karat gold was priced at 1,709,560 rials (about $40.7), adding 1.02 percent.

The Central Bank of Iran (CBI) put the official rate of euro at 51,297 rials, 0.5 percent down compared to the preceding day.

Pound Sterling lost 0.49 percent and stood at 58,888 rials. In the meantime, the Russian ruble dropped 0.88 percent resting at 680 rials.

The rate of Azerbaijan's national currency did not indicate any changes and stood at 24,706.

Turkey's lira added gave up 0.99 percent to post 10,238.
