According to a report by Iranian Customs Administration parts for nuclear reactor were among Iran’s main imported commodities in the last calendar month.
Iran imported 1.93 million tons of goods during the first calendar month of the current fiscal year, started March 20, 2018, the Iranian Customs Administration said.
The Islamic Republic imported $2.529 billion worth of commodities during the 1-month period, which is 7.7 percent more year-on-year.
Soybean, worth $155 million, topped the list of Iran's imported goods during the first Iranian calendar month (March 2-April 20).
Corn fodder (worth $138 million), car parts ($121 million), nuclear reactor parts (worth ($77 million) and rice worth $69 million were the other goods mainly imported to the Islamic Republic in the 11-month period (March 2017-2018).
China was the main exporter of goods to Iran in the mentioned period. Iran imported $624 million worth of goods from its traditional trade partner in the last calendar month.
After China, the UAE ($314 million), Russia ($165 million), Switzerland ($161 million) and South Korea ($144 million) were other four biggest exporters of goods to Iran.
Russia’s exports to Iran registered a huge rise by 630 percent, meanwhile Iran’s imports from Switzerland was 75.48 percent more year-on-year.
