Investments in Iran are currently mostly carried out in risk-free instruments, Managing Director of Tamaddon Company, the most active Iranian capital investment company in the past two years, Mahmoud Reza Khajeh Nasiri told Trend.

“I think that the existing problem in Iranian capital market today is that the process of decisions is not transparent and the exchange rate or even the state of the industries and the capital market cannot be spoken about. As time passes analyzer and the whole capital market should be able to discuss the decisions that are made,” Nasiri said.

According to him, today most investments in Iran are made in risk-free instruments, such as fixed income securities and banking systems, which are welcomed by the benefitting investment funds.

He added that such investments are more attractive to investors due to convenience and high liquidity and accessibility, whereas investment in high-risk sectors is less welcomed.

Nasiri concluded by expressing hope that the foreign currency exchange management system will be in interest of the state economy, pointing to setting single exchange rates.
