The National Iranian Drilling Company (NIDC) drilled over 90,500 meters of oil and gas wells using its drilling fleet during the first five months of Iran’s current fiscal year (March 20-Aug. 22), Hamid Reza Khoshayand, deputy managing director of NIDC, said.
The company carried out drilling of 67 offshore and onshore oil and gas wells during the 5-month period, Khoshayand said, NIDC reported.
The wells included 32 development and delineation wells as well as 35 repairing ones, Khoshayand said.
The National Iranian South Oil Fields Company (NISOC) shared 41 of the drilled wells, followed by Iranian Petroleum Engineering and Development Company (10 wells) and Iranian Offshore Oil Company (six wells), he added.
NIDC drilled 14 wells with overall depth of 21,120 meters in the last calendar month (July 21-Aug. 22).
NIDC owns 73 drilling rigs, including 70 light, heavy and ultra-heavy onshore and three offshore rigs.
