The Economic Research and Policy Department of the Central Bank of Iran has disclosed the country’s economic indices for the spring of 2018 (Iranian calendar year starts March 21), Tasnim News agency reported.

According to the research, from June 21, 2017 to June 21, 2018, the inflation rate in Iran grew 9.4 percent in comparison with the same period last year.

From May 21 to June 22, the inflation rate grew 4.3 percent compared with the previous month and 13.7 percent compared to the same period last year.

Considering devaluation in Iran and that the US exerts pressure on oil consumers urging them not to buy oil from Iran, it is inevitable that the Central Bank of Iran will see an increase in inflation in the coming months.
