Iran’s Ardabil province exported goods worth over $53 million in the first half of the Iranian year (started March 21), said Seyyed Hamed Ameli Kalkhoran, head of Ardabil Province Industry, Mines and Trade Organization, Shata news agency reported.
Thus, exports grew 65 percent both in terms of value and weight compared to the same period last year, he said.
He noted that the products were exported to Azerbaijan, Iraq and Afghanistan.
Ameli Kalkhoran added that it is necessary to increase exports from Ardabil province, because its export share is currently very small in Iran.
