Iran discloses volume of goods exported to Iraq via Mehran border

Over six months of this Iranian year (started March 21, 2018), the goods worth $387,258,661 were exported from Iran to Iraq via the Mehran border, IRNA cited Sayyed Sharifi, deputy chairman of Iran's Ilam Province Industry, Mine and Trade Organization, as saying.

He said that this amount was obtained in exchange for 570,000 tons of products.

The export of products increased by 27 percent compared to the same period of last year, he added.

Sharifi added that during the reporting period, the construction materials, agricultural products, rubber products, spare car parts and petrochemicals were mainly exported.

On average, 600 trucks cross the Mehran border daily to transport goods to Iraq, he said.
