Official: 640,000 tons of products exported to Iraq from Iran’s Qasr-e Shirin district

As many as 640,000 tons of agriculture products (fruits and vegetables) have been exported to Iraq from the border customs of Qasr-e Shirin district of Iran’s Kermanshah province since the beginning of this Iranian year (started March 21, 2018), said Morad Mahmodianfar, head of Iran’s Kermanshah Province Agriculture Department, Trend reports via IRNA.

He said that 471,000 tons of agriculture products were exported to Iraq from Parvizkhan border customs and 169,000 tons of agriculture products were exported from Khosravi border customs.

He added that the cost of the exported agriculture products is 960 billion rials (about $22.8 million).

He noted that tomatoes, onions, potatoes, watermelons, cucumbers and eggplants were mainly exported to Iraq.

Last Iranian year, a total of 258,000 tons of products were exported to Iraq, he said.
