Iranian big mining companies increase iron ore concentrate production

During nine months of this Iranian year (started on March 21, 2018), iron ore concentrate production of major Iranian mining companies stood at 34,306,874 tons indicating a 22 percent growth compared to the same period of the previous year, Trend reports referring to IMIDRO website.

Gol_e_gohar Mining and Industrial Complex accounted for 11,888,486 tons of the total output, followed by Chadormalu Mining and Industrial Complex with 6,739,263 tons, Iran Central Iron Ore Company with 4,000,025 tons, Middle East Mines and Mining Industries Development Holding Company with 3,864,118 tons, Goharzamin Iron Ore Company with 3,267,332 tons and Opal Parsian Sangan with 2,199,486 tons.

Iran’s five major granulated iron ore production companies had a total production of 5,354,796 tons of granulated iron ore in the first nine months of the current Iranian year, registering a 35 percent growth YOY.

Sangan Iron Ore Complex was the biggest producer with 1,524,614 tons followed by Saba Noor Company with 1,473,504 tons, Iran Central Iron Ore Company with 1,175,103 tons, Iran Central Plateau Iron Ore Company with 797,179 tons, Chadormalu Mining and Industrial Complex with 322,164 tons and Mishdovan Iron Ore Company with 62,232 tons.
