Iran's Namin Special Economic Zone open for investments

The Namin Special Economic Zone situated in Iran’s eastern Ardabil province is open to investors, Director of the Namin Special Economic Zone of Ardabil province, Bahman Azarvash, said.

Four investors are ready to make investments in the petrochemical sector in the Namin Special Economic Zone, Azarvash added, Trend reports referring to IRNA.

The consultations must be held in connection with the investments, he said.

The Namin Special Economic Zone covers an area of ​​2,050 hectares. At the first stage, the preparation is underway to launch activity at a 1,000-hectare area.

The Crystal Plant is being built at a 40-hectare-area in the Namin Special Economic Zone. At the first stage, 400 people are expected to be employed, while at the next stages – 2,000 people - are expected to be employed, he said.

The Namin Special Economic Zone intends to simplify export and import of goods, support domestic industry, introduce new technologies, make investments in regional production and development, support economic activity, international trade relations, intensify regional economy, export non-oil products, create jobs in production sector, attract investments, exempt from customs duties and import equipment.

The Namin Special Economic Zone is located near the airport of Ardabil province.
