By Elnur Baghishov – Trend:

Iran has started to export fuel and diesel in the region, Alireza Sadeghabadi, Deputy Petroleum Minister and Chief Executive of the National Iranian Oil Products Distribution Company (NIOPDC), told ISNA, Trend reports.

Sadeghabadi said that currently fuel and diesel are being exported, adding that these products are also put on sale on Iran's stock exchange.

As to which countries are export destinations for Iranian fuel and diesel, the deputy minister said that these products are exported to Iraq, Afghanistan and some Caspian littoral countries.

"Of course, the main exports to the Caspian countries consist of air transport fuel, kerosene and diesel," he said.

The deputy minister did not announce the amount of exported goods.

In September 2018, Sadeghabadi said that Iran is self-sufficient in oil production and ceased imports of petrol.
