300,000 tons of products exported from Iran’s Semnan province

As many as 300,000 tons of products worth $168 million were exported to 45 countries from Iran’s Semnan province last Iranian year (started March 21, 2018), General Director of Semnan Province Customs Administration Ali Sadaddin said, Trend reports via IRNA.

He added that the goods were mainly exported to the UK, Croatia, Azerbaijan, Afghanistan, the UAE and Turkey.

“Last Iranian year, at least 7,800 tons of products were imported to Semnan province,” he said.

The imported products consisted of equipment and raw materials, he noted.

These products were imported from 18 countries, including Turkey, Italy and the UAE, he added.

Customs revenues of Semnan province stood at least at 290 billion rials (about $6.9 million) last Iranian year, he said, adding that the trade balance of the province increased fivefold in the reporting period.

There are more than 2,000 industrial and manufacturing facilities in Semnan province.
