Seven wells repaired and further developed in Iran’s onshore oil zones

Seven oil and gas wells were either repaired or further developed in Iran’s onshore oil zones since beginning of the new Iranian year (started March 21, 2019), said Mohammad Al Hamis, CEO of the National Iranian Drilling Company (NIDC), Trend reports with reference to the NIDC website.

He said that four wells were further developed and three wells were repaired. Mohammad Al Hamis added that during the reporting period, drilling at depth of 14,400 meters was carried out with usage of the company’s equipment.

“Drilling at one well has been completed 18 days ahead of schedule, and another well was repaired 18 days ahead of schedule, too,” he said.

Thirteen drilling platforms are replaced, and seven types of drilling equipment will be used for the expansion of wells, while six types of the equipment will used for their repair, the CEO of NIDC continued.

Commenting on the damage caused by the recent floods in the southern Iranian province of Khuzestan, he said that the floods caused some problems in the drilling equipment used in the areas of its operation.
