Iran is facing difficulties with obtaining money for the sale of its oil to Russia, chairman of the Iran-Russia Joint Chamber of Commerce Hadi Tizhush Taban said.

Taking this into account, there are two ways for Russia to pay money for oil - barter or to use other currency, rials and rubles, Taban added, Trend reports referring to Tasnim News Agency.

Taking into account the current situation, it is difficult to use rials and rubles in trade turnover between Iran and Russia. That is why, if the Iranian oil is purchased by Russia, there is a possibility for the products to be sold or bartered, he said.

Touching upon Russia's readiness to buy Iranian oil, he said that the exact details of the purchase of oil, the transfer of money for oil and other processes have not been disclosed yet.

Taban stressed that the current trade turnover between Iran and Russia reaches more than $2 billion, $600 million accounts for the export of goods by Iran to Russia while $1.4 billion - import of products.
