Production of Iranian petrochemicals will reach 100 million tons by the end of next Iranian year (March 21, 2020 - March 21, 2021), Iranian Oil Minister Bijan Zanganeh said at a meeting with members of the Followers of Wilayat fraction in the Iranian Parliament, Trend reports referring to the website of Iranian Oil Ministry.
He said that this will be implemented in accordance with the 6th development program (2017-2022).
He added that Iran’s oil ministry has no problems selling oil products. “Iran exported the biggest amount of oil products in the fifth month (July 23 - August 22),” he said. “This is four times more than the export figures of the previous government in 2009-2013.”
The Iranian minister further noted that the National Iranian Oil Company does not produce bitumen. Bitumen is produced by the private sector and is offered for sale through the stock exchange, he said.
Development programs in Iran are approved by the parliament and the government is working in the direction of these programs, he added.
