Iran’s Bahman Diesel Company domestically produces 50 percent of the spare parts for minibuses and trucks of Sheller brand, said Morteza Shafei, managing director of Bahman Diesel Company, Trend reports citing ILNA.

He said that except for motor and gearboxes, all spare parts of minibuses and small trucks have been produced domestically. He added that in near future, 40 percent of these two items (motor and gearboxes) shall be produced domestically.

“Presently, more than 80,000 cars in the Iranian transport system have been produced by the Bahman Diesel Company,” he said.

The company can now produce 1,000 minibuses and small trucks per month, he noted.

“However, the demand in Iran is currently 50-100 units a month,” he noted. “It is predicted that this demand will increase to 150 units.”
