Considering the location of Ilam Petrochemical Company in Mehran border, Iran has more opportunities to export petrochemical products, said the managing director of the company.
Shapour Taghipour emphasized that Ilam Petrochemical Company has prevented the raw sale of products, Trend reports citing ILNA.
"Our products include propylene, polyethylene, olefin and desulfurization that being sold on domestic stock exchange in Tehran, Isfahan, Fars and Khorasan provinces, while the rest is to be exported through Mehran border to Iraq and other countries," said the official.
Iran is implementing plans to use all the capacities in Ilam Gas Refining Company to increase production, he noted.
"The refinery receives hydrocarbons and processes it to methane gas, ethane, LPG and Naphtha that eventually are exported. The refining company is currently produces polyethylene and there are plans to start production of polypropylene, pyrolysis gasoline, fuel oil, and ethylene to be transported via west pipeline," he added referring to future plans.
"The second phase of Ilam Refining Gas Company will become operational alongside olefins' unit in the current Iranian year [started March 21, 2019] to extinguish gas flares and produce ethylene, surplus of which alsowill be transported through the west pipeline," he said.
