National Iranian Copper Industries Company’s foreign trade revenues grow 276%

For six months of this Iranian year (started March 21, 2019), foreign trade revenues of the National Iranian Copper Industries Company increased by 276 percent, said the company’s Managing Director Ardashir Sad Mohammadi, Trend reports via IRNA.

He added that 167,000 tons of goods were sold abroad over this period.

He noted that domestic sales amounted to 304,000 tons, which is by 206 percent more than in the same period last year.

He added that the company’s overall sales for the first six months increased by 230 percent compared to the same period last year.

“The total sales of the company have exceeded 100 trillion rials (about $2.38 billion) in the reporting period,” he said.

Regarding the production during the six months, he noted that 132,400 tons of copper cathodes were produced, which exceeded the production plan by 27,000 tons. This indicates a 26 percent increase, he added.

Anode production exceeded the plan by 25 percent, he noted, adding that anode production record of 163,400 tons was observed in the six months.

He said that sulfur extraction and production increased by 3 percent and 4 percent, respectively.

“Copper concentrate production amounted to 593,700 tons, which exceeded the plan by 5 percent,” he noted.
