During the first six months (March 21-September 22) of this Iranian year (began March 21, 2019), more than 1 million tons of products were exported via customs of Iran’s Ilam province, said Deputy Chairman of the province’s Industry, Mine and Trade Organization Saeed Sharifi, Trend reports via IRNA.
Sharifi said that the value of exported goods to Iraq during this period was more than $624 million.
The exported products were mainly construction materials, fruits and vegetables, rubber, industrial products, glass, household items and metal products, the deputy chairman added.
“In the same period last year, 784,000 tons of products worth $552 million were exported from the province,” Sharifi said.
The deputy chairman noted that the increase in exports and imports via the customs of the province helps the province’s development and the increase in jobs.
