Exploration of oil and gas fields continues in Iran, Iranian Oil Minister Bijan Zangeneh said, Trend reports citing Tasnim news agency.
The minister noted that if the results are obtained, information will be given regarding the increase of the reserves.
Zangeneh added that the US tried to prevent the development of Iran’s oil industry during the sanctions.
“However, the development of Iran’s oil industry hasn’t stopped,” the minister said. “Moreover, agreements in this area are signed, projects are launched and a big number of projects will be commissioned.”
The US imposed sanctions on Iran in November 2018 and expanded the list of sanctions in several stages.
