Iran's non-oil exports reach $24.4B in 7 months

In the first seven months (from March 21 to Oct.22, 2019) of the current Iranian year, Iran's exports, excluding oil and oil products, amounted to $24.4 billion, reads the report of Iranian Customs Administration (IRICA), Trend reports via the information portal of Iran Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mines and Agriculture (ICCIMA).

During the reported period, Iran's imports amounted to $25.2 billion, the report reads.

According to the report, the amount of exports reached 79.5 million tons, while the amount of exports stood at 19.8 million tons.

Compared to the same period last year, in terms of value, the exports and imports decreased by 11 percent and 5 percent, respectively, the reports notes.

However, in terms of weight, the exports and imports increased by 17.1 percent and 3.1 percent, respectively, the report reads.

The average value of one ton of exports was over $307, which is 24 percent less compared to the same period of the previous year.

Moreover, the average value of one ton of imports was $1,271, which is about 8 percent less compared to the same period of the previous year.
