Iran’s MAPNA Group starts drilling at Parsi oil field

Iran’s MAPNA Group of Companies has started drilling the first well at Parsi oil field in Khuzestan province, Abbas Aliabadi, the company’s executive director, said at the signing ceremony of an agreement between the National Iranian South Oilfields company and MAPNA to develop and increase production at Parsi and Paranj oil fields, Trend reports citing IRNA.

Aliabadi noted that great work is being done in Iran in the field of modern drilling and production of powerful turbo compressors, and MAPNA is doing its best in this area.

The director added that the development of MAPNA’s turbo compressors advanced even more than in previous years.

The company has already taken steps towards improvement of production equipment, said Aliabadi.

The agreement on maintaining and increasing oil production at Parsi and Paranj fields in Iran’s Khuzestan province has been signed by Ahmad Mohammadi, executive director of the National Iranian South Oilfields company under the National Iranian Oil Company (NIOC), and Abbas Aliabadi, executive director of MAPNA.

In line with the agreement, during the 10-year period of the fields’ operation, a total of 85,000 barrels of oil will be extracted daily.

MAPNA Group is a group of Iranian companies involved in development and execution of thermal and renewable power plants, oil and gas, railway transportation and other industrial projects as well as manufacturing main equipment including gas and steam turbines, electrical generators, turbine blades and vanes, HRSG (Heat Recovery Steam Generator) and conventional boilers, electric and control systems, gas compressor, locomotive and other pertinent equipment.
