Production of home appliances in Iran has increased by 52.8 percent in the first half of the current Iranian year (started March 20,2020) comparing to last Iranian year (started March 21,2019).
Statistics of the Ministry of Industries, Mine and Trade indicate during first six months of current Iranian year (started March 20,2020) 590,500 TV sets were produced and the production had a 84-percent growth, compared to same period of the last Iranian year (started March 21,2019), Trend reports citing IRNA.
Domestic production of refrigerators increased by 37.1 percent compared to the last Iranian year (started March 21,2019) and 919,600 refrigerators were produced in first half of the current Iranian year (started March 20,2020).
Production of washing machines has reached 454,100 units in the current Iranian year, with 54.5 percent growth, compared to the last Iranian year.
The spokesman of Home Appliances Manufacturers Union has indicated recently that despite the increase of production, the gap of foreign brands has not been filled yet.
