The Director General of International Affairs of the Ministry of Cooperatives, Labor and Social Welfare of Iran Ali Hossein Shahriva announced the expansion of cooperation with Tajikistan in the fields of employment and education, Trend reports citing Mehr News Agency.
The first joint working group meeting with the Ministry of Labor, Migration and Employment of the Republic of Tajikistan, has been held via video conference.
"Although Iran and Tajikistan do not have a common border, but Tajiks and Iranians have long common history, culture and language," Shahriva said.
“The two sides through the exchange of information, documents and experience, training and business trips, holding conferences, seminars and joint working groups in the fields of labor relations, health and safety, reducing work-related accidents, labor market policies, employment, and technical and vocational training will work together," he said.
