TEHRAN,Iran, Apr.19

Trend:

Iranian banks should obey the interest rates that have been set by the Central Bank of Iran, said the Governor of the Central Bank of Iran Abdolnasser Hemmati, Trend reports via IRNA.

"Despite problems last Iranian year(started March 20,2020), the Central Bank of Iran and the banking network functioned relatively well, and we've reached the target goals," he said.

"It is necessary that the banks stick to interest rates that were approved by the Monetary and Credit Council and there should be supervision of this. The banks that violate this, will be confronted," Hemmati said.

He also pointed out that the banks should be careful with using their resources.

Hemmati expressed hope that Iran's economy will flourish.

"Iran's banking network should adhere to budget laws announced by the Central Bank of Iran," he said.
