Iran's Energy Exchange should have regular oil-related transactions - CEO

TEHRAN, Iran, July 6

The Ministry of Energy of Iran paid attention to the stock market a little late and the volume of electricity being traded via the Energy Exchange is very low, The CEO of the Iran`s Energy Exchange Ali Naghavi said, Trend reports via Mehr News Agency.

“The offering of natural gas by the ceiling of ten billion cubic meters of via the stock exchange is outlined in the current Iranian year`s budget plan, according to which the Cabinet of Ministers approved the launch of the natural gas exchange,” Naghavi said.

He pointed out that to have balance, there should be regular oil-related transactions on the Energy Exchange.

Naghavi stated that Iran was the major exporter of energy via energy exchanges in the region last year and a main gasoline price maker.
