The CEO of Hormozgan Power Generation Company said the second Unit of Bandar Abbas Steam Power Plant with a nominal capacity of 320 MW joined the national electricity generation network after major overhauls.
"This unit, which was taken out of the circuit for major repairs in September last year, rejoined the electricity grid after replacing the low-pressure turbine blades, rebuilding low pressure and high-pressure pumps, replacing, repairing and rebuilding boiler pipes, cleaning condensers and heat exchangers and replacement of high-pressure valves,” the CEO of Hormozgan Power Generation Company Reza Mehrani said, Trend reports citing Mehr News Agency.
Mehrani added that over 70 percent of the parts used to overhaul Unit 2 are made in Iran by knowledge-based companies.
“The low-pressure turbine of the 320 MW unit has been completely renovated with the help of local contractors."
