Iran will inaugurate the second phase of the National Housing Action Plan with 20,000 apartments by July 22, said Deputy Minister of Road and Urban Development, said Mahmoud Mahmoudzadeh, Trend reports citing IRNA.
"So far 20,000 housing units are to be inaugurated and we seek to increase the numbers," said Mahmoudzadeh.
"It has been expected that the housing plan contractors would accelerate the working shifts by compliance with the health protocols," he said.
"A committee has been formed for land to hasten the implementation of National Housing Action Plan since the last Iranian year (started March 20,2020). There are some problems in terms of assigning lands to the project in some provinces and cities, but this issue with the land will be reviewed and solved," he said.
The National Housing Action Plan aims to construct 400,000 small and medium-size apartments (70-100 square meters in size) across the country and particularly in Tehran, where housing prices have risen sharply.
