Iran to begin first oil cargo export via Oman Sea

TEHRAN, Iran, July 21

Iran would load the first cargo of oil for export from Jask and Oman Sea following order of Iranian President said Managing Director of the National Iranian Oil Company.

Goreh-Jask oil transfer mega plan is to operate by the export of first cargo of crude oil that would be loaded in Jask and shipped via Oman Sea, said Masoud Karbasian, Trend reports citing IRNA.

"This would diversify country's export sources and expand Mokran region as well as increase production by installing new petrochemical plants," he noted.

The following projects would have considerable savings, while 91 percent of the project was made domestically and created 5,000 direct and 10,000 indirect jobs and 250 Iranian contractors were involved.

Goreh-Jask oil transfer project is going to provide Iran with an alternative route for the country's crude oil exports , the pipeline capacity is 1 million barrels of crude oil per day, and their export via new terminal in Jask.
