TEHRAN, Iran, March 28. Iran is planning to increase export of greenhouse products in the current Iranian year (started March 21, 2022), said the head of the national greenhouse maker association Abdolrahman Hosseinifard, Trend reports citing ILNA.

He said Iran can become a replacement for Russia on the European market and export its greenhouse and agricultural products there.

Iran is to export melons and watermelons to Turkey in the next few months, while it has already exported a cargo of cactus in the early days of the current Iranian year to an undisclosed destination.

Iran has tripled its greenhouse production in recent years. The country currently exports agricultural products such as cucumber, tomato, bell pepper, eggplant, and plants to Russia, Turkey, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, the UAE and Oman.
