Senior MP: Iran will never give up its nuclear rights

The Iranian nation will never give up its right to develop nuclear technology that the world knows is aimed for civilian purposes, said Majlis (Iranian Parliament) Vice-Speaker Mohammad Hassan Aboutorabi-Fard on Friday, IRNA reported.

The Iranian parliamentarian said thanks to sacrifices by Iranian martyrs and following the guidelines of Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, the country is presently known as a free and independent country in the world.

He named national solidarity and loyalty to the Islamic system and the supreme leader as two prime factors to protect the values and achievements of the Islamic Revolution and to thwart the enemiesˈ plots in the past 34 years (since the victory of the Islamic Revolution in 1979).

The deputy Majlis Speaker condemned the adoption of Western-led unilateral and tyrannical sanctions on Iran over its nuclear technology as a blatant violation of human rights, saying every nation has the right to growth and development that has to be respected by others.

He reiterated that the Group 5+1, particularly the United States should know that the Iranian nation is ready to safeguard the achievements of its revolution and will never give up its legal rights under the pressure of Western sanctions and threats.
