Yukiya Amano, the Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), urged the organization members to fund the IAEA activity for monitoring the agreements between Iran and the P5+1 due to postponement of talks until Nov. 24, RIA Novosti reported.

"Continuation of our activity will require additional funding in the amount of 1 million euros, 300,000 euros of which have been promised. I invite the member states, which would like to make their contributions," Amano's report, released Sept. 15 by the IAEA, said.

The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) is an international organization for developing cooperation in the peaceful use of atomic energy.

The IAEA was founded in 1957, and its headquarters is located in the Vienna International Centre, a campus hosting the UN Office at Vienna, also known as the UNO City.

The IAEA, in particular, has a responsibility to monitor agreements between the six international mediators - U.S., U.K., France, Russia, China and Germany or simply P5+1 and Iran concluded in November 2013.

The agreement was inked for six months however on July 20 the parties extended talks until November 24, 2014.

The process is aimed at developing international guarantees for a peaceful nature of Iran's nuclear program in exchange for the cancellation of all international sanctions against the Islamic Republic.
