Iran's parliament speaker, Ali Larijani said that the US President Barack Obama is responsible for any failure of the nuclear talks.

President Obama tries to divert the costs of any breakdown in the negotiations towards the Islamic Republic, Larijani said, Iran's Fars news agency reported Feb. 1.

The US president can not make reasonable decisions due to domestic problems, Larijani said, adding Iranian people and administration have made reasonable flexibility in the negotiations.

The Iranian speaker further said that Iran will never accept the US side's irrelevant demands in the nuclear talks.

The US president should understand that Iran will never give up and his wrong policies may lead to failure of the negotiations.

Talks between Iran and the P5+1 group have been extended until July 1, 2015 to reach a comprehensive nuclear agreement.

After the sides failed to meet the 24 Nov. 2014 deadline they also extended the Geneva nuclear deal, which was signed in November 2013 for providing Iran with some sanctions relief in exchange for Tehran agreeing to limit certain aspects of its nuclear activities.

The US and its west allies suspects Iran of developing a nuclear weapon - something that Iran denies. The Islamic Republic has on numerous occasions stated that it does not seek to develop nuclear weapons, using nuclear technology for electricity generation and medical purposes instead.
