Baku, Azerbaijan, Feb. 27
By Khalid Kazimov - Trend:
Iran's third radiation drills are being held in the southern city of Bushehr with Passive Defense Organization Commander Qolamreza Jalali.
Jalali speaking during the opening ceremony said that the war game would be held in two days, in three stages, IRNA news agency reported on Feb. 27.
The first stage is a staff drill and will be held in the headquarters on Feb. 27, whereas the second and third stages, which are operational, will be held in the Bushehr nuclear site and across the city of Bushehr on Feb. 28, he explained.
He maintained that although the nuclear facilities in Bushehr enjoy optimal security, the drills are nonetheless being held to enhance inter-organization preparedness for emergency cases.
In June 2013, a report said that the Bushehr nuclear power plant had experienced technical problems with its generator.
Tehran repeatedly has rejected safety concerns about the reactor, which began operations in 2011.
