Iran says the perspective of cooperation between Iran and the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) is good.

“Iran-IAEA cooperation is in a defined certain framework,” Ali Akbar Salehi, head of Iran’s Atomic Energy Organization, said, IRNA reported.

He added that Iran does its best to commit on nuclear deal, commenced in January 2016, but wants its nuclear rights to be considered.

“Iran-IAEA’s cooperation has been very good and we hope this continues,” Salehi said.

Touching upon Iran’s uranium stockpile, he said that Iran had already 550 tons of uranium, imported (during the last decades) and the total extracted uranium from the country’s mines has also reached 100 tons.

“In total Iran has 650 tons uranium and we hope to extract 40-50 tons more in the coming years,” Salehi said.

He also said that Iran bartered its heavy water with 384 tons yellow cake recently.
