The Iranian parliament has notified and questioned 4,670 times Hassan Rouhani administration's members from the beginning of the current fiscal year (started on March 21, 2014).

The figure is almost equal to total number of questions and notifications in the past two Iranian fiscal years, the official IRNA news agency reported March 17.

The notifications are mainly politically motivated and meant to impose pressure on the Rouhani administration, according to the report.

Conservatives control Iranian parliament and have various differences with the pragmatic president, particularly when it comes to cultural and social issues.

However, statistics indicate that the administration of former president Mahmoud Ahmadinejad received even more notifications from parliament during his last year in office.

The Iranian parliament notified Mahmoud Ahmadinejad administration's cabinet members 4,943 times from May 27, 2012 to May 19, 2013. Ahmadinejad himself received the most notifications from parliament. The main topic of notifications was linked to economic issues.
