Tehran, Iran, Aug. 6

By Temkin Jafarov - Trend:

The Iranian people have shown an incredible fortitude to the whole world in recent months, Iranian President Hassan Rouhani said August 6.

He made the remarks while speaking in city of Eslamshahr in Tehran province.

"Our people withstood all powers of the world and made the Islamic Revolution, retained its independence, freedom and honor, didn't fear any force and raised the flag of the Islamic Republic," said the president.

He said that over the last years, Israel's positions in the region have been shaken three times.

"The first shock came in 1979 when the Islamic Revolution was victorious," said Rouhani. "The second time Israel's positions were shaken was on the day of liberation of the city of Khorramshahr during the Iran-Iraq war. And today, the positions of the Israeli Zionist regime have been shaken for the third time as Iran and international mediators signed an agreement, known as the Vienna agreement."

Iran's president said all the peoples of both the region and the world are pleased with the reached agreement.

"Only the Zionist regime and war supporters in the US aren't pleased with it," Rouhani further said. "This agreement is the third victory of the Iranian people, and we are proud of our diplomats and lawyers."

As he said, all obstacles hindered by the enemies of Islam

to establish relations between the Iranian people and the world community are today removed.

"Today is the day to start all over again," said Rouhani.

He expressed gratitude to the Iranian scientists and diplomats.

"Thanks to their efforts, the United Nations, which previously did not recognize Iran's right to nuclear technology, today announces the availability of such a right," said Rouhani. "Resolution No.2231 of the UN officially and openly acknowledges the right of the Iranian people to nuclear technology."

He urged all to work together for the sake of development of Iran and the growth of production in the country.

"The purpose of the signing of the Treaty of Vienna by Iran is to create favorable conditions for production in the country, as well as for young people with higher education and the elimination of unemployment," said the head of state.

He also said he doesn't support the discrimination of the youth of Iran on the basis of sex.

"Some demand to create jobs only for unemployed young men, allegedly because girls do not need to work," said Rouhani. "But I think it's wrong. There should be no discrimination between women, men, boys and girls."
