The Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei has met with Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban, the official Leader.ir website of the supreme leader reported Dec.1.
Touching upon the relations and cooperation between the two countries in various fields, Khamenei said that the "Looking towards Asia" policy pursued by Hungary is correct and can give impetus to the expansion of mutual cooperation.
Ayatollah said that the main aim of Iran is to cooperate with all nations. Having supported the words of prime minister of Hungary that the basis for cooperation is mutual understanding between peoples and nations, he stressed the need to create a base for establishing cooperation in the sphere of economy, science, education and culture.
The Iranian supreme leader mentioned lack of understanding as a source of enmity between peoples, noting that in the light of the prevailing atmosphere of propaganda in today's world, reality is often distorted, which is to the detriment of all mankind.
Khamenei said that Iran approves the holding of meetings and exchange of views between the representatives of the Islamic and Christian world, as it has a positive effect on bilateral relations.
