Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif has called for expansion of bilateral ties with Ghana in commercial and financial fields.
At a meeting with Ghana's Minister for Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration Hanna Tetteh, Zarif said that the ground has been paved for cooperation between traders as well as the financial and banking sectors of the two countries, IRNA reported.
In turn, Hanna Tetteh also said that her country will study the opportunities for cooperation with Iran’s private and governmental sectors particularly in financial and banking issues.
Zarif arrived in Ghana on the second leg of his regional tour to West Africa. He is accompanied by political and economic delegation on his six-day visit to Nigeria, Ghana, Conakry Guinea and Mali.
